Its not very cool or nice of him to let you cry for an hour over this. he sounds like he just wanted to show how in control he is of the relationship. Not acceptable. Maybe you should think about starting the break.

Telling your other if you're thinking about a break isn't that bad...but the laughing at you after crying? Why would you stick around for that? Sounds kinda like my ex in a way...trust me when I say that you will be happier after leaving that relationship

Yes, because him being honest about his thoughts and telling you what he was thinking is really bad. Him laughing at the end was obviously because he didnt know that you had missunderstood him, and he found it a bit funny. i would probably laugh a little aswell. lighten the mood.
