Better than nothing

Today, my boyfriend asked me why I chose to date him. After going on for five minutes about how unique and funny he is, I ask him the same question. His reply? "You were the first person to ask me out." He then rolled over and fell asleep. FML

Can't blame him for being honest. I't doesn't need to be bad.

So what? He obviously chose to stay with you, so I dont see why it should be that much of a big problem.

Translation: neither of you are particularly attractive.

OP, if you are dissatisfied with his answer then move on with your life. Otherwise, stop complaining. Your boyfriend is your choice.

"Unique" is a shitty compliment. Everyone is technically unique. To call a person unique is like calling them warm-blooded. BFD. And you claim you like him for being "funny!" Didn't you get his little jokety joke?

Sometimes our needs are that simple, get over it.

Graw. Another "boyfriend didn't tell me what I wanted to hear" FML.

Why must you ask him something like that? Are you that insecure? Is your self-esteem that low that you need to know if he's just dating you "for the time being" until someone more hotter comes along? Maybe he was making a funny, just to see your reaction. If he was being on the level, I wouldn't sweat it. You put him on the spot, so he responded with the first thing that came to mind. He could easily have said because you had big **** or that he heard you were good in the sack. Count your blessings, what little you have, anyway.

Did you fail to notice that he asked her the question first?

Well at the time, he was sleepy. Also, you being "the first person to ask him out" is obviously a big deal to him, something that makes him happy, and you took it the wrong way. lrn2chill.
