Today, my mom wanted to surprise me by buying me a hamster. When I got into her car, I was actually surprised and even said, "Hi" to the hamster. When we got home, the hamster was dead. FML

You are an idiot for having the hamster for that long period of time in the ball. The poor fellow probably suffocated while you were cleaning the cage which you probably should have done a while before if it took you an hour.

I've had hamster balls before and they've all been ventilated. I'm not sure how the hamster could suffocate in it.
