Today, I told my girlfriend that my grandma died, expecting to be comforted. She got mad at me for "stealing her thunder" because her cat died two days ago. FML

Yikes... She obviously is a bit selfish, or a dedicated animal lover... maybe both actually. If this bothers you that much I would reccomend you leave her. Or if you can look past it, try to make it work.
