Today... my parents told my future husband and I they couldn't afford to help out for our wedding because they just bought a brand new car and new appliances for their house. We've been engaged since January and set our date in April. They've known about our wedding for 8 months... FML

It's your wedding pay for it yourself or don't have one? I don't get why people think their parents should help with this shit when you're adult enough to get married. Have a cheaper wedding 🤷🏽‍♀️

how old are you and your fiance? parents paying for the wedding is a pretty old school concept, most people pay for their own ceremonies nowadays so im sure as self sustaining adults you can work it out.

Today, I was Skyping with this kid, when his girlfriend started arguing with him. They do this every other week, and there was a bet on when they'd finally break up. I egged the guy on and told him not to take her shit. She ended up dumping him. Now I feel like an asshole, and all for a lousy $20. FML

Today, I was at the hairdresser's getting a trim. The lady doing my hair commented on how beautiful and luscious my hair was, which made me feel really good. I later overheard her telling her colleague that hair as nice as mine was wasted on someone with a face like mine. FML

Today, I was at a party and went to the bathroom. The door was tricky to lock, but in my inebriated state I thought I'd managed it. Apparently, I hadn’t. Midway through my business, the door swung open, and in walked a group of people looking for their coats. We just stared at each other in shock until someone finally closed the door. FML
