Today, my neighbors adopted a new dog and named it Ginger, which was the name of my dog that passed away two months ago. They constantly call her name, too. FML.

I'm sorry for your loss. That must be hard. Last week my guinea pig passed away. I work at a pet store and we just got in a new Guinea pig that looks a lot like mine did. I tried to avoid looking at the cage, but customers kept asking about the guinea pig. :(

The doctor said it's a viral infection and there's nothing they can give me, so I can choose between trying to kill myself by sleeping or staying awake for the next few days. FML

Today, after an hour-long conversation with my mom that was supposed to help fix our relationship, she said she prefers Beatrice over me and that she's moving in with her. Beatrice is not my sister, she's my older cousin. FML

Today, my 9-year-old male cat has been trying to procreate with my 4-year-old female cat. Both are neutered, but every now and then, he randomly gets on top of her from behind, and bites her neck hard while she looks visibly uncomfortable. I've never heard of cats giving each other hickeys before. This isn't the first time. FML

Today, despite me being a master-level carpenter, and my art sells for thousands, I heard my mom telling her snobby friends how embarrassed she is of me because I’m “basically unemployed” and waste my time on “hobby crafts” like a teenage nerd instead of getting “a real job” and finding a wife.
