Today, I went on my first date in 6 months, to a Thai restaurant. We both got food poisoning and spent the entire evening alternately running to the bathroom while pretending that we were fine. FML

Today, I was on a first date at high-end Indian restaurant. I tried to impress my date by ordering the spiciest dish on the menu, only to find out it was way too hot for me to handle. I ruined the entire meal by coughing, choking, and drinking five gallons of water with tears streaming down my face for at least 40 minutes. FML

I swear the incubation period for all food poisoning should be longer than your date was. So, one way or another, it wasn't food poisoning from there; it was either from somewhere else or it was something else completely. You might want to have seen a doctor for that one

food poisoning takes 12-24 hours to take effect, and its not only shit but uncontollable vomit, as well.

Hey, as the main character in "The Bell Jar" pointed out, there's nothing like getting sick together to forge a bond. I hope you like each other enough to go on a second date--to a different restaurant.
