Today, I went into a music store to look into getting a new guitar. I picked up one that I was interested in and tried it out quietly. A sales representative approached me and asked me to "stop the noise and leave the guitars for serious customers." I've been playing for almost ten years. FML

Today, I was in a music shop looking for a new guitar when someone called out someone else's name and jumped on my back. I lost balance and fell forward and broke 3 guitars and damaged another 6. The guy said "Sorry, thought you were someone else" and ran out. I now have to pay £2500. FML

Today, I was trying sell a customer a top-of-the-line surround sound system. Apparently he was aware that I work on commission, as he threatened to buy the system elsewhere unless I sang Rebecca Black's "Friday" in front of the whole store. Goodbye, self-respect. FML

Today, after practicing a song for my girlfriend on guitar all day, I called her over to my house to show it to her. After a long speech about how "this is for you," I played for about 3 seconds before I broke a string, which slapped her in her face. FML

Today, I had to explain to my little sister that not all guitars are supposed to have a hole in them, that when I was talking about "breaking it in" I didn't mean I'd smash a hole in it, and that she shouldn't have taken a hammer to my expensive new guitar. FML

Today, my sister was playing a rock star in a play. When she got home, she told me she used one of my old guitars, because I told her it was ok. I said she could take one to practice on, not destroy on stage. FML

Today, I was listening to music while wearing my headphones on campus. A song I really liked came on, and after a while, I started doing air guitar along to it. I was soon accosted by campus security. Apparently, air guitar looks like jerking off from really far away. FML

Um, what I think the guy meant by for serious customers is that he doesn't want people just sitting in a store all day playing display guitars, it would turn into a strumfest for anyone that can hold a guitar & pick. If even the pick. Don't feel bad FML'er, he probably was told to get you off the guitar.

**** that asshole, If it's a chain, you should've told his manager why you were going elsewhere. BTW if you do some research and know what kind you want, I was pretty happy with 'musician's friend' only downside is it's online. I just ended up getting a tele, figured I couldn't go wrong with a classic.

i can understand the salesman's point of view depending on how old OP is. usually no matter what, if somebody looks like a teen, they wont be taken seriously. i hate it so much!!!
