Today, I wanted to ask out a cute new co-worker. She seemed shy so instead of asking her outright I left a sticky note in her cubicle. Not only did she act as if she hadn't noticed it all day, but when it was time to go home she was picked up by another woman. They kissed. FML.

I'm pretty sure that dating coworkers has been discourage for... well, a long time. Plus if she just started there, that's kind of rude to make her feel like she might make an enemy if she says no, and she's also allowed to not be interested in men or in you specifically. But, hey, the most it could have cost you is your job! You apparently aren't super attached to it anyway.

Today, during a sex ed lesson, we were given a lecture on pregnancy and abortion from the school nurse. Throughout the session she kept repeating, "Of course, Sophie knows ALL about this." The nurse happens to know that my dad's a gynaecologist. That's not what everyone else in the year thinks. FML

Today, I received an email from my boss announcing a new company policy that everyone already hates. Meaning to vent, I typed a snarky reply meant for my friend, saying, "Guess we’re all fucking robots now, huh?" I'd hit "Reply All" instead. Today, I was so proud I'd fixed the toilet with a hardware store part without even having to call a plumber. As I happily put the lid back on the tank, I dropped the lid, which broke the tank, spilling water everywhere. Now I need a new toilet, a new floor, and I have to call the plumber. FML

Today, I went to the movies and accidentally walked into the wrong theater. I sat through an entire horror film, thinking it was supposed to be a rom-com. I kept waiting for the romantic twist. It never came. Satanic haunted dolls or whatever they were did, though. FML
