Content almost refused by staff

Today, I reported to my part-time job for a shift in what we call the dungeon because it’s cold and drafty. Meanwhile, just down the hallway, the full-timers had a party with food, music, and prizes. Someone even won a bicycle. We got to listen to the merriment. FML

I get that you’d rather have been at the party than at your desk but it’s not exactly an FML-story, is it? That’s how things work when you can’t give all employees time off at the same time.

But it’s not right to have the part timers work and have to listen to the fun they aren’t allowed partake in at the same time. The party should have been after hours or in a different place.
