Today, I spent an hour frantically searching for my car keys, turning the entire apartment upside down. After giving up and calling a locksmith, I found the keys… in the fridge. Because apparently I put my leftover pizza on top of them. FML

Today, when I went to pick my kid up from daycare, I found out that he had run away. The rest of my afternoon consisted of me screaming his name, looking for him. I then returned to the daycare center. He thought it would be funny if he hid in the trash. FML

Today, I angrily tweeted about having fruitlessly searched for over an hour for my car keys. Minutes later, some guy told me to check beneath the "stack of skid-marked underwear" on my bedroom floor. I'm not sure if it was a lucky guess, or if I should start carrying mace. FML

If you didn’t know it was your toddler, I get it. If you knew it was your toddler, the toy box should be the first place you look.

From now on, store everything of value in the toy box so you always know where it is. I'm surprised Richard Pencil wasn't around to provide this solution.

Today, my dad used the stove to boil water. Unfortunately, he turned the wrong burner on, setting the smoke alarm off.
