Today, my parents gave me a letter they'd forgotten about since late last year. In it was a $30,000 scholarship to a local master's program with an application due date of two weeks ago. FML

I call bullshit. You don't forget a letter for over a year and then conveniently remember when it is past the deadline. The seems way more like they hid the letter because they didn't want you to go, and gave it to you past the deadline to add insult to injury. This whole situation seems way too deliberate.
