She eventually convinced me, but after we'd had 'weird best friend sex' she decided she’s a lesbian after all, and I “took advantage of her temporary confusion,” so we’re not friends anymore. WTF? I invite you to consider forgoing the gold star lesbian schtick. You people deal with enough already that you don't need to add onto it amongst yourselves by devaluing bi girls/girls who experiment, a demographic of which you are apparently now included in. I'm a gay man who has only ever been with other gay men, none of us have ever felt the need to praise each other by way of leaving bi/experimental men out of the picture. Our struggles are not the same, but I guarantee you that if we started using "Gold Star Gay Man" in our community, it would only serve to make things more cliquey and self-hating than it already is.
