Today, I saw some pretty heinous graffiti on the urinal stall at school, so I opted to scribble it out. A supervisor came in the second the pen touched the stall. Now I have detention and have to scrub the entire stall clean as a "lesson". FML

Today, I grounded my son after finding out that he's been bullying other kids at school. He got mad and screamed at me, calling me a "bastard". Instead of defending me, my wife got pissed and accused me of having taught our son to swear like that. I can never win. FML

You know how this could have all been avoided?? If you were a good parent and didn't spank your child, maybe you could have used good discipline instead of just beating him.

A good parent teaches their kid right from wrong. And if that teaching sometimes calls for reinforcement through spanking, then so be it. My parents spanked me when I did things bad when I was younger, and I sure as hell never did those things again. You know what happens to kids who only have "good discipline" (what does that mean anyways? Bribing them with a lollipop to make them stop?) ? They learn that their actions won't bring punishment. Those kids become spoiled brats, and other people wish they could beat those kids asses for things they do. Good parents do what they must to protect and teach their kid to be a good, sane person.
