Today, my friend and I were racing on our bicycles when my chain snapped. I went over the handlebars and slid, on my back, for about ten feet. FML

I'm calling that one a bluff. u could not have possibly flipped over the handlebar and slid on ur back, much less slid for 10 ft. it's possible u fell off ur bike tho. if that part is true hope u feel better hunn.

I'm gonna highly doubt that this happened. if your chain snapped, that would just mean that you couldn't pedal and gain speed anymore. you would just coast. now if you squeezed on your front brakes like an idiot, then of course you're going to go over the handle bars.

Anyone that actually bikes knows that the front brake is what you use 90% of the time.

32, its not the chain braking itself that sent him flying. since he was racing he was peddling fast in order to win, when you go from high resistance to none at all in a split second, while still going fast causes a panic. this panic probably led him to either yank the handle bar sideways throwing him over, slam on a brake (front brake of course) and send him flying, or he could of just somehow flew. same thing has happend to me i slammed on a brake and flew, breaking my nose giving 3rd degree road rash on my forhead, shoulder, and elbow. it is highly plausible

it wasnt a mountain bike, and I was standing up going about 20 mph I walked away from this though

oh it happens, and it locks up your whole dam bike in a split second sending u flying thru the air! I know, I've experienced it more than once

it can't "lock up" your bike. the front wheel would have to lock up in order for you to go over the handle bars, and the chain has nothing to do with the front wheel. the wheel moves freely. and like I said, if you squeezed on the front brake, then of course you're going to flip over the handle bars. and any real biker knows to not use the front brakes. because that is exactly what happens. you eat it and usually pretty hard. and I could see falling because of a loss of balance when that happens, but not over the handle bars. maybe off to the left or right. I used to bike all of the time, so don't try and tell me I don't know what I'm talking about.

If your bike has both shocks AND pegs, consider yourself lucky that you were the one injured and not that badass ride.

Hooray for following the rules like you agreed when you signed up -_-

This is coming from the person spelling "you're" as "Ur"... I fail to see how being environmentally friendly and active is "stupid".

regardless of the rules it's still censorship. someone posted their OPINION and it gets blocked because they fear that someone won't like it or will feel offended and complain. that is pretty much the definition of censorship. good job. next time u wanna be a smart ass know the definition of the main word in the statement made. it makes u look a lot less stupid and ignorant.

@45: #12's comment said, "fake". You're not supposed to call fakesies on FMLs. Also, FML is not the USA. The mods can censor if they want.

road rash is a bitch. road rash from a bicycle is pwnage.
