Today, I went with my girlfriend to the mall. We were looking at jewellery in Zales and she came across the engagement rings. She looks at one and says, "Are you kidding me? That ring is hideous and it's the most expensive one here! Who the fuck would buy that?" Well, that would be me. FML

Today, I went to sell my wedding rings, due to the fact that I'm getting divorced from a man who cheated on me. The jeweler informed me that the stone in my engagement ring is fake. I won't even be able to cover the divorce costs from the proceeds. FML

Today, my girlfriend found the engagement ring I bought and assumed it was a late birthday present. She’s now wearing it on her right hand like a signet ring and she somehow hasn’t figured out it’s a diamond and not a Swarovski. I'm now waiting for her to figure it out before I pop the question. I hate how people expect rings to be grand and extremely expensive. Engagement rings was a trend created by the diamond cartel De Beers, so they could sell more diamonds. And if your ring isn't a diamond ring it still applies, it was a trend created to sell products for money. What really matters is love, so make sure you truly want to be with this person, because that's what is important. Maybe he saw it and thought you would like it, so he got it for you and was also happy about the price. But anyways, love is more important than a material item.
