Today, I fainted and woke up in a hospital. My mom drove me to the emergency room. The doctor said I had a panic attack. What did I have a panic attack from? Bidding on eBay. FML

YDI for being an idiot and getting excited over winning a bid on eBay.

It's not really your fault if you panic over something like this. It happens to some people sometimes, guys - it's not a conscious effort to get excited over it, it's something in the subconscious mind triggering and nothing you can control.

I don't really get it. Do you live right next to the hospital or something? It is possible to faint from hyperventilating, but once you've fainted your breathing will become normal and you'll wake up within a minute.

my family has a history of fainting for seemingly no reason most of the time, for me it's anxiety. most of the time you wake up after 20 seconds but if there's something else wrong it takes many minutes. my dad has heart rhythm problems so his fainting coupled with that = unconscious quite a while :\ it's awful

That sucks. I had a panic attack once and it was the scariest thing ever.

wow if you get this excited over ebay, imagine how excited you'll be first time you have sex (cause I assume you haven't yet, for obvious reasons)

ROFL!!!! Awesome comment! OP, get a life. You sound pathetic.

They said it was from ebay because it happened at the same time you were bidding on ebay, or you got it because you were that invested in not losing the bid? Sometimes panic attacks are delayed. If it was the first one, then I'm sorry that everyones being annoying and also for whatever happened. If it wasn't, then I wish you luck on the bidding but I encourage you to get checked out. If this isn't the first time, you could have some sort of anxiety disorder, which will end up causing a lot of problems if left untreated. There are different therapies, or drugs, or whatever, but from my own experience, disorders like that suck. Or you might be fine, and just a bit ridiculous, in which case I still encourage therapy. No one should be that invested in something they're buying unless its something like, Edgar Allen Poe's first book Tamerlane, which is extremely rare and very valuable...... but I feel ebay is not the venue for that.
