EliTheAdorable tells us more.
All of you who gave me things to say to customers, they were hilarious! Also, I'd like to explain a little bit. The reason she didn't have any gloves for me to wear is because the hair dye she bought didn't come in a box. It was two metal tubes of the stuff in a bag, that was it! I knew better but let her talk me into it anyway. It's definitely my fault, I take full responsibility because I've dyed hair before (mine, mainly) and I know what it can do and if she had told me about it any sooner, I would have brought my own gloves. Oh well, just another funny story to tell. As for work, I went up to the restaurant (I don't live more than 2 miles away) showed my manager my hands and explained the situation. He laughed about and was understanding. Luckily, someone was able to cover my shift, I just needed to clean my hands ASAP! Thank you for all of the suggestions on how to get it off! They're returning to their normal shade of porcelain white (which makes it even more obvious) but I'm definitely going to speed up the process! Sorry for the long comment!

Scrub your hands with toothpaste. Takes the dye right off.
why are you dyeing someone's hair if you don't even know that it stains? doesn't that mean you have never done it before?
You believed her.. I'd make sure i will dye her hair a jacked up color next time she wants it dyed
Sorry OP, but everyone kind of knows that hair dye can stain skin. I mean it's dye, for god sake. But still, it's understandable how you could've not known. Maybe you've never been familiar with dye yet your friend still let you do it on her? I don't know. Just put some rubbing alcohol. It will be gone soon enough and you can it this whole mess behind you!
Wear gloves duh
You deserved it considering that you should've wear the gloves and the instructions also says that the dye shouldn't touch the skin and that it's doesn't come off.
It's called dye for a reason. Changes colours and is meant to stay on long. Sorry, but you really should have known this, especially since you do it yourself.
Baking soda mixed with dish soap takes a large amount of dye right out of your skin! I've gotten some pretty crazy colors of dye on my skin, and it works every time.

But why wouldn't you wear gloves anyhow? Everybody knows those chemicals are pretty strong, and yes, stain whatever they touch
Serve them food, look them straight in the eye and calmly say, "I have the rot!"
