Today, I drove my cousin to her wedding. The photographer said I was too ugly for the official photos so they searched the crowd for a good looking guy to pose as the driver in my new car. No one in the crowd stopped to defend me. My mom told me it's my own fault. FML

Today, my mom drove my family to the desert for a themed family photo. We had to wear big frumpy old western-looking clothes in 115 degree weather. Hot and agitated, I muttered, "This is the ugliest thing I've ever had to wear." My mom, looking hurt, replied, "That's my wedding dress." FML

Today, my mom wanted me to pick up my cousin from work immediately. I'm in my shirt and underwear with no other clothes and I'm also too young to drive. She said "He won't mind, and just take my drivers license, they'll never know!" FML

Today, I’m supposed to be a bridesmaid at my sister's wedding, but she doesn’t want me in the photos because I’m over a foot taller than her and the other bridesmaids, and it will look silly in the photos. I told her I won’t even bother attending, and mom actually took her side. FML

There is not enough info to determine if this is an fml. If they thought you were ugly bc you were sporting a mullet for example then it is your fault and ydi!

I thought this was mean until I saw the OP was from South Africa, and then it all made sense. I know a lot of South Africans and they are the bluntest motherfuckers you're ever going to meet. We candy-ass Americans would have let the hideous troll befoul the picture with his fetid ugliness, and then discreetly apply a Gaussian blur to his monstrous puss in Photoshop to "fix" the pictures. Which way is better? To=MAY-to, to-MAH-to.

Wow...that is so shallow...What the **** kind of photographer says that to their subject? It's not your fault it's your parents' fault. They made you. Unless the ugliness comes from something reparable like bad acne or being overweight, there's really no way you can be blamed for being "ugly". Your family sucks...
