Today, I had a surprise birthday party thrown in my honor. All of my friends and family had been invited, and all of the details were perfect. Who threw the party for me? My ex-girlfriend who I dumped last week for "not being thoughtful enough." FML

Perfect except that your GF is no longer there for you, that is. Then again, she may have planned this in the short time since your breakup. You never know. Be leery of a woman trying to win you back - just because it could possibly turn out well doesn't mean that it can't end in tears.

You should have just had an honest talk about this problem with your ex before breaking up with her. On the other hand, this might actually be good news for the OP. Maybe this is her way of saying "take me back."
