Today, I went in the one-person bathroom at work to pee. Next thing I know, a woman forced the locked door open and walked in on me, because she didn't believe another person who said, "I think someone is in there." I'm reluctant to use that bathroom in the future. FML

Today, I went to the bathroom. I locked the stall door, but got walked in on anyway. This is the eighth time this has happened this week, and multiple people think I’m just too stupid to lock the door. FML

Today, I went to the bathroom in a mall. As I was in the stall, a woman tried to open it. I yelled out that's it was occupied but she kept shaking it to open it. It came up to the point where she had to crawl under the door to see that I was there. FML

Today, I was at a store. I asked if I needed a key for their bathroom, and they said the door was open. I have to walk past them to go in and out of the bathroom. Thirty seconds later, they used the key and walked in on me. FML

Today, as I went to the bathroom in a port-a-potty at a park, I forgot to lock the door. A little girl opens the door and then slams it right away. As she walked away I heard her say "no, there's a man in there". I'm a woman. FML

Today, I had to use the restroom while at work. I had the choice of the stall with a broken lock, or the stall with a huge crack in the partition wall. Not two minutes after I sat down, I noticed someone peeking in. FML

Today, my supervisor locked me in the women's bathroom as I was cleaning it. I heard the owner scolding him, so I waited for the door to open, thinking he got in trouble. It wasn't until I heard the front gate locking that I realized I'm staying the night in the bathroom. FML

Today, I decided to use the disabled toilet in work to get a little extra privacy while I did my business. The cleaners who unlocked the door from the outside and barged in on me were nice and waited until I finished to apologize and explain there were complaints the door had been locked for days. FML

Today, despite my fear of using public restrooms, I was forced to anyway to avoid my bladder exploding. I was finally getting over it when someone stuck their head under the stall to "see if someone's in there". I'm scared more now than I was before. FML

Today, I had to stop at a gas station to go to the bathroom. A sign on the door told people to knock since the door didn't lock. As I was peeing, a lady walked in on me. Rather than simply saying sorry and shutting the damn door, she opened it wider and stepped in to apologize. FML

Today, I was using a public toilet stall when the lock gave way, and the door swung open halfway. I froze, and the person who was washing his hands at the sinks looked at me in the mirror and awkwardly said, “I see you.” I muttered, “I’m sorry,” as he walked out looking like he'd seen a ghost. FML

Happened to me once. They knocked a bunch even after I said that the bathroom was occupied. The next thing I knew, a woman and her kid had forced the lock and walked in on me. Luckily, I had just pulled up my pants.

So, was it a really flimsy lock or did this woman have PCP induced super-strength? Because right now I'm just picturing her going all She-Hulk and ripping through the deadbolt like tissue paper. All the while, screaming "YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND! I HAD CHIPOTLE TODAY!!!"

See what I'd do is say hey I'm in here and if the person is still determined to get in there we'll just let them be embarrassed. The door is locked for a reason.

I had something similar happen to me at work once. They didn't break the lock or force their way in but they tried opening the door handle a bunch of times and, after I said "Someone is in here." They continued to try opening it the whole time I was in there, like they never stopped. It was so rude and, if I wasn't in my uniform and "representing the company" even though it was my break, I would have told them off.

That's my exact thought. At my workplace if you don't lock the door, they will just walk in on you. One of my coworkers saw me knock on the door before trying to go in and she told me that was a good idea because she's walked in on someone that forgot to lock the door. I was just like, when did knocking become something people don't do?
