Speed racer

Today, I got a speeding ticket. My speedometer got busted a few weeks back, rendering it useless. My father, a former mechanic, decided it's not worth the trouble of going in and fixing it. "Just keep with traffic when you're on the highway; you'll be fine." This $150 fee says otherwise. FML

When someone doesn't listen to their parents everyone's like "YDI Listen to your parents! They're there for a reason!" Then when someone does and they mess up they're like "YDI You should've handled it yourself!" I mean seriously people? o.o

At least we know why your dad is a *former* mechanic. My dad is a current mechanic, going on 35 years now, and he would have advised to immediately fix that.

What, are you ten? Get it fixed yourself, or find another means. The speedo in my work van is off, so I use my gps for speed. The speedo in my truck is off due to much over sized tires... so I use common sense. If you lack money AND common sense /wrist... don't contaminate the gene pool any further.

like a wise state trooper once told me... here in iowa we dont require that your speedometer work, we require that you drive the speed limit. :) i know you probably werent in iowa... but im sure it still applies lol
