im gonna go against the norm and say FYL because usally you dont really need a speedometer you can usally tell how fast is a good speed for the road your on and for the highway usally kepping up with traffic is fine you should of course get it fixed eventually but its not exactly a priority or at least it sholdnt be

Yeah, because they'll totally let you off the hook for not fixing your car. It be like running into a bank with a faulty gun that misfires a lot and trying to claim that you didn't mean to shoot everyone, they wouldn't care. YDI for not fixing your car on your own. There's tons of mechanics out there, you should have sought one that wasn't a lazy ass like your father.
