I had a kidneyblood issue that required me to not only drink crazy amounts of liquid (1-2 liters of water every hour) but use the bathroom a lot, that many quick breaks would be annoying to clock out for so I imagine your pain. Id discuss it with your boss.
As a fellow Brit I am REALLY curious about what sort of company you work for. I'm no longer a smoker but I still use electronic cigarettes and I can sneak off for a quick puff without having to go outdoors. To penalise you for going to the toilet but not for smoking strikes me as crazy considering how anti-smoking most companies are nowadays.
You're from UK. You could take up a grievance for being discriminated against. Seriously. Talk to ACAS or the CAB.
file for a complaint. a. bodily functions should not be punished and b. if they get a smoke break then you get a break too. I worked at an auto parts store and others smoked and I didnt. I asked if I could take a break and the manager said what for. so I told my boss and I got breaks like the rest of them.
You probably complained to much about the smokers and it backfired on you, haha. Jk that is crazy to have to clock out to use the restroom.
Seems rediculous smoking is a choice, Going to the bathroom.... Not so much
Unless your going to the bathroom more than you need to i don't understand how you would be penalised for something everybody else does
I'd go to HR-I'm a smoker and even I think that's BS.
Is that even legal? I honestly don't know if he can do that.
Well, that's a pisser
