I don't react negatively to stuff like that either. It simply means you're confident and in control.
The expression is “Flight, fight, or freeze.” This is the normal range of human reaction to a threat or emergency. The first two in the appropriate circumstances can save your ass. Freezing into inaction in the face of danger is only appropriate if you are hiding from a predator - Driving a car it’s never the appropriate reaction. It is a human reaction, though and at some point many of us have felt it.
