Today, our AC broke. It's 98 degrees inside the house. My parents will be staying at a 5 star resort until the repairman can come to fix the unit in 6 days. They made me stay home to make sure the plants survive. FML

*borrow* your parents visa card and hire some men to build you a pool to stay cool Then tell your parents if they can pay for the resort they can pay for the pool!

Not to be that one competitive person, but 98 degrees? That's nothing! I live in Victoria, and here the average summer temperature is about 45 Celsius, which is around 113 Fahrenheit. We never even OWNED an air conditioner until I was about 11.

Put plants in one suitcase. Put your stuff in other suitcase. Go to hotel with suitcases. Take taxi if you have to, and tell driver that your parents, in room WYZ, will pay for trip. If they refuse, the cops will be called and they'll still have to pay. Or call the cops yourself, or threaten to. Exposure to 98 degrees isn't legally child abuse unless maybe your can stretch it out to the fact that they are making you live in it when they aren't living in it. Also, lack of parental supervision. Child neglect. Child endangerment. Or tell them you found a plant daycare/boarding house to send the plants to. Or buy lots of ice and cold packs and a cheap cooler.
