My boyfriend's parents told me the story of their first date. They went on a double date with two of their friends, and the guys asked the women to dress up really nicely. The date was fish and chips at the rubbish dump. I'm not sure about the friends, but my boyfriend's parents have been together ever since (nearly 25 years). You just have to have a sense of humour about it :)

This is not a FML! I told my bf once that if he ever wanted to take me on a date I'd rather it be to MacDonald's rather than some high class restaurant! I HATE wearing dresses!
