Today, my boyfriend, and best friend, had baked a cake, and wouldnt tell anyone who it was for. When I asked he said I'd know soon. He met me after class to break up with me and offered me the cake to make me feel better. FML

Today, I threw an elaborate surprise birthday party for my boyfriend of four years. He thought we were going to a quiet dinner but when we arrived, thirty of his friends jumped out and surprised him. Why do women (in the comments) act like a guy breaking up with you means he's a douchebag. Nowhere does it say that he was an asshole, or broke up with her to **** her best friend. All it says is he broke with her and made her a cake to help her feel better. SO WHAT! Would you rather him stayed with her until he was so unhappy that he did resort to ******* her best friend?!

As bad as that it is... at least he was thoughtful enough to bake a cake unlike those guys who break up with a text. AND for those people saying how he must be doing the best friend, its possible that the best friend just wanted to make it easier for the OP. Maybe they're all a trio of friends or something and so just because the relationship didn't work out doesn't mean the boyfriend doesn't want to end it on good terms. You can't force a relationship if its not happening. Hope you can move on and find someone who has more chemistry with you, OP.
