YDI. why weren't you telling your son that sex makes babies before now? its not school's job to teach him stuff like that, its YOUR'S! you just failed at parenting and want someone to blame.
Don't you have biology in the U.S. highschools??? In Europe we study about how the human body works at the age of 14...
In America the Religious Right pushed through "abstinence only" sex ed in many states, where they merely tell young people not to have sex and don't give them any other information on STD or pregnancy prevention or sexual health or anything else.
Actually it IS the schools job to teach that. Notice the word "teach". I got schooled on how the male body works and how babies are made in school. That's how it should be.
and how many people actually listen to teachers? that is why parents she tell their kids about sex and not to rely on our failure of an eduational system
you honestly think that just because the word 'teach' features in the sentence, it's a school's responsibility? I'm sorry, but the most important teachers in a child's life are their parents. Especially for something as important as sex and relationships. If you are not prepared to teach your children, please don't have any. This is the problem with today's kids. So many parents refuse to teach their kids anything and demand the schools do it. Schools only have them for 6 hours a day, 5 days a week. You have them for the other 18, and 7 days a week.
No I'm not saying that everything should be taught at school and only school but I am saying it should be part of the curriculum. I was taught about sex at school but my parents did of course teach me stuff about it as well. They taught me more about being safe while school taught me more about the mechanics of it all. THAT'S how I think it should be.
Why didnt YOU have the Sex talk?
The sex talk is YOUR job, not the school's. Jackass.

And he thought he was the father how?
Why do parents expect the school to do everything for them? It's not their job to teach your child about sex so YDI
