Today, I won 20 dollars on a lotto scratch off. My friend, pissed, makes me split the money, saying it was collateral for the gas money used to get us there. He then used his 10 dollars on a scratch off, and won 500 dollars. The jackass wouldn't split it. FML

"friend"? **** that. he could have given you SOMETHING... $500 is enough to hand at least $50 over... unless he was in dire need for that financially.

What a douche. Somebody who throws some shitty hissyfits over ten bucks is the kind of asshole I would distance myself from immediately.

your friend is a jerk i would have given my friend $100 if that was the case

Why should he split it? You owed him for petrol, he technically doesn't owe you anything. If you were in his position I bet you wouldn't have split either.

Yes, but he bought the winning scratch ticket with OPs money! The "friend" should have given OP something, even if it was just $10. Besides that, i highly dout that is cost $10 to drive there.

I'm not trying to be a bitch, but I wouldn't spilt my winnings with my friend, especially if I'm strapped for cash. But on the other hand, I wouldn't charge my friend for gas money...unless we were going pretty far and it was pre-arranged. Sorry about your luck man!

He should at least have given you your $10 back. Then maybe another $10 because if you had never decided to split it, he would never have won it.

it's your fault for splitting your winnings with him in the first place. i doubt it cost $10 to drive to wherever you were. ydi..

He didn't ask for $10 because that is the cost of the gas, but because the gas was worth something compared to the $1 or whatever to buy the ticket. Then the $10 was all his, and he bought a ticket and won, so the proceeds are all his. Nice to see all the low-lifes here that the chance for chisel $250 of someone else's money is more important than a friendship.

Did he at least pay you back your $10?
