Today, I went out with my family and boyfriend for dinner. We were all having a good time, and suddenly at the end of dinner he decides to kneel down on one knee, take out an engagement ring, and say "I choose you, Pikachu," with a straight face. He was serious. FML

If my boyfriend did that, I'd ask if it was possible to hold the wedding the next day, I love nerds! Mainly because I AM one, but still...

But I also get where you're coming from, OP, if you don't like Pokemon. A few of my friends hate it with a passion, but I don't mind, we just talk about other things and I avoid those topics with them. Everyone has a different level of nerds in them. Even if it's close to non-existent, it's still there.
