Today, I took my 15 year old daughter driving. I yelled at her for not going safely around corners. On the way home, while demonstrating how to drive right, I went around a corner and hit a cement truck. FML

I feel sorry for your daughter having such a shit teacher.

You really shouldn't criticize someone, especially your daughter, when the same thing could potentially happen to you. YDI

don't yell at your daughter when your teaching her to drive, it'll just make things worse. when my parents yelled at me i would drive horribly just to piss them off. You defantly deserved that one. Hopefully she yelled at you for hitting the truck

HAHA! Serves you right. I almost hit a propane tank once because my sister was screaming at me. Good thing you weren't near one of *those* eh? As #39 said, I hope your daughter freaked on you.

I feel so lucky that I had my mom teach me to drive, if my dad did we probably wudda died. I learned to drive when I was 14 with a learners permit and had no clue what I was doing, I wudda hated being yelled at : (btw idk if this showed up as a comment or what, my iPod confuses me.)

lmfaooooooooooooooooooooo it sounds like karma bit you on the aft end.

As a 16 yr old about to get her license, I say YDI.

as a teenage driver, i can tell you right now, yelling does nothing to improve the situation. it's a distraction. don't yell at your daughter.

Jerk. My father yelled at me a lot when I was first learning to drive, which just set me at edge, which mades mess ups more frequent... Luckily nothing horribly dangerous, but you see the point. Correct your children calmly when driving, freaking/stressing them out does not help.

im 15 and my mom thinks i cant drive right...then again i can NOT adapt cause i am left handed and i also use my left leg....using my right hand/leg really makes me feel odd so its backwards to me....thats why i cant do i wide turn right...i put to much pressure on the breaks when i do...its called BEING NEW TO DRIVING! i wouldnt say FYL i say F your daughters Life!

i'm left handed and i've never had a problem using my right foot on the pedals. but i'm also not a moron.

I seriously hope you're joking. All you're doing is pressing down a pedal. If you can't do that with your off foot then you shouldn't be driving period! Not to mention unless you're an NFL kicker then the whole idea of being "right footed" or "left footed" isn't an issue. You're not trying to kick the pedal through some uprights, just push the dang thing down!
