Today, I overheard a conversation two of my friends were having about Homer, so I interjected with a quip about a Simpson's episode I had seen before. They were talking about the poet. I'm an AP literature student. FML

Today, at my mum’s birthday dinner, my brother-in-law used a Latin phrase in the wrong way. Since we all have learned Latin, I taught him the correct way until everyone facepalmed in my direction. He made a rather nice wordplay and now I’m known as the educated idiot who is too stupid to understand a simple joke. FML

Honest mistake! When I took AP lit, I was a senior in high school and I think I read the Odyssey my freshman year. I definitely would have thought "Homer Simpson" over the Greek poet.

like oh em gee. im an advanced placement literature student. not a big deal. i took ap lit also my senior year... this story was just plain dumb. how about this: Today, I wanted to sleep but I had to go to class. FML. ...yeah. it's about the same thing.
