Today, I got yelled, screamed, and cursed at by a customer until I was reduced to tears. This was all because I double-checked to make sure she wanted large fries. FML

Aw don't feel bad! I have made a habit after my years of customer service to double-check before ringing someone up and sometimes people are like, "yes I just said that," but so often if you don't double check they'll claim they said something else. I'm so sorry she made you cry but you were doing your job well! I wish everyone had to work in customer service at some point so they'd realize what asses they are.

I feel your pain. Working with customers can be so difficult. I got moaned at over the price of an orange. Apparently we make up prices too...

I worked in fast food for 5 years. Some customers are ridiculous and just need someone to yell at.

People are atrocious these days. I strongly believe that everybody should be required 6 months of fast food service/service industry experience when they turn the minimum working age. That way they would earn a little respect for others. Im sorry to hear this, but dont let that bring you down. Just think... better to be you. You dealt with them a brief moment but they have to deal with themselves for the rest of their lives.
