Aww:(
I'm sorry. i cry when i get yelled at to
Gotta love jobs in customer service. People are assholes and nothing will prove that like working in customer service and realizing all the insanely pathetic and pointless things people get upset over. Sorry that happened to you, but just keep your chin up and don't let it get to you. Easier said than done I know, believe me I know, but people like that aren't worth being upset over... they're pathetic losers and their opinions mean nothing.
Reason #5807 I will never work in fast food unless I have to.
Yeah that's pretty much the point of those jobs. They are worked because people have to. I don't know anyone that ever dreamed of growing up to work in fast food.
Retail life at its finest
Yeah this is basically retail everywhere. Even when managers facilitate transactions customers will still treat them like trash. It's surprising. I think it's honestly just a power thing, not a "they're just a cashier" thing. "Customer is always right" makes a lot of people think when they walk into a store they are the king/queen, regardless of who's helping them. I've even seen a lot of customers be rude to other customers based on this principle.
Sorry OP :( I've seen those cases where they're fat maybe, and everything you do is a slight toward their obesity. I had a lady get mad when I brought her a diet coke. Everyone else at her table had diets, but it tells me that they're insecure enough about their weight that they should be doing something about it, not freaking out at you. Sounds like this one went way off the deep end though.
Did she ask for diet? If not, I can understand why she'd be upset. She could've dealt with it better though. She should've said something like, "excuse me, this is diet, can I have a regular soda please?"
You poor darling! If someone has ever double checked my order anywhere I'm always super appreciative, it shows you care about the customer and you're doing your job. I hope you're okay.
It's okay, a customer once lashed at me for asking if he wanted a combo. Then my supervisor screamed at me for disrespecting the customer, when it was our duty to ask if they wanted a combo and she knew that. :/ Now i am a nurse and she is still working at burger king!
