I'm sorry that he has turned out to be just a "sperm donor" rather than a Dad. The good thing is that you know about his character (or lack thereof) and can look to other people to provide the "fatherly" attributes he has failed to provide.

Did you think maybe their relationship had been strained so she was reaching out to him? She may have not been calling her dad, but he wasn't calling his own kid either. And when you're talking to your own daughter for the first time in nine years, it's not always appropriate to say "I forgot I had another daughter." Sounds like the dad is the douche bag on this one.

While I see where 67 is coming from, you have to remember a "father" is male. Men have problems with feelings some times. Yes they are both at fault. But maybe he was so shocked from her call that he said the first thing he could think of. Not a douche move. But then again, who knows for sure?
