Today, I brought some cupcakes to my class for my birthday, like all the cool kids do. When it came time to sing happy birthday, the entire class said "happy birthday to" then forgot my name. Except my teacher. She said Steve. My name's Jeff. FML

Today, the shy girl in my class brought a cake to share with everyone, since it's her birthday. Excited about the cake, I got everybody to sing "Happy Birthday" for her, only to realize too late that nobody in the class knew her name, myself included. FML

Today, I celebrated my birthday with my family. While they were singing Happy Birthday to me, my mother called me by my brother's name. When I blew out the candles a moment later, I joked, "I wish my mother could remember which son I am." Before we had even started eating the cake, she called me by my father's name. FML

Today, my grandparents took me out for dinner for my birthday. After singing, "Happy birthday dear…" they froze. I had to say my own name because they'd forgotten it. FML

Today, I celebrated my birthday with my friend who has the same birthday by going out to dinner with a bunch of our friends. The waiter brought out a cake for my friend but not for me. No one noticed my exclusion. I sang happy birthday on my birthday. FML

While it's true I haven't seen anyone bring cupcakes to class since 6th grade, I would totally think it was cool if someone brought junk food to any of my classes to share. I don't know what's wrong with all you douchebags, I guess you don't like cupcakes? Happy birthday anyway, Jeff.

#177, agreed. I love cupcakes. Silly grown-ups and your "not before dinner" attitudes toward candy.. or anything fun, for that matter. If someone brought cupcakes to one of my classes they'd be "cool," and I'm a junior in college >_> Happy birthday Jim.. John.. **** it =P
