Today, I had to say, "Put away your burrito," "That ruler is not a lightsaber," and, "Stop making dog noises" all in the same sentence at work. I teach Advanced Placement Calculus to high school seniors. FML

Sound like every honors class I've been in. You got it lucky there, our class threw around a glass vase until it broke and put makeup on the boys. Ah, the perks of being an honors kid(:

I took 8 AP classes my senior year and the 4 I passed were the ones where the teachers took time out to make the class enjoyable. I personally think OP needs to lighten up a bit because kids will remember a lot more if they are learning and having fun rather than being lectured at and bored
