It's a family vacation. That means there is give and take. You get a subsidized vacation. You have to help watch the kids. You go to an exotic locale, you have to help clean up. See, if you were paying for the vacation yourself they can't make you go home. They wanted something in exchange, and you insisted on getting something for free, and now you've got nothing.
