Today, my husband finally admitted to his mother he'd got married. No wonder she wasn't involved with the wedding. FML

Maybe his mom doesn't like her. Sometimes guys keep that a secret to keep from hurting the girl's feelings, especially since the mother doesn't always have a reason for the hate. When my parents got married, my dad stopped talking to his mom because she wouldn't do anything but complain about his being married.

It might be a blessing in disguise. It's not unheard of for parents to sabotage relationships, so maybe she's one of "those." Or it could be something different. Either way, there's two sides to every story, and we'd really like to know the other side.
