Today, I met the grandmother of the 6 year old I frequently babysit. She started to make harsh comments with hand gestures and slow pronunciations on the piled up chores. Taking a hint, I did all that. When the parents came back, she gave them her comments about the lazy and stupid "Asian Maid". FML

Today, I tried to sneak out of a family gathering without anyone noticing. As I tiptoed toward the door, I stepped on my aunt's prized chihuahua's squeaky toy. The entire house went silent as it squeaked at quite the volume, and everyone turned to stare at me. My "escape" turned into the most dramatic exit of my life. FML

Today, I asked my uber-religious parents what they would do if, hypothetically, they found out one of their closest friends was an atheist. The immediate response: "Forcibly try to convert them, and completely cut all ties if they don't accept." Guess I'll remain a closeted atheist for the rest of my life. FML
