Today, the nanny that watches my children took every single piece of underwear from my house until I raise her pay to $15 an hour. I don't even get paid that much. FML

Um, how about just fire the nanny for being creepy, rude, and disrespectful? Since you don't even make that much, she shouldn't have even asked for it in the first place, but with what she did, she definitely doesn't deserve that $15/hr. You basically rewarded her bad behavior. Fire her and get a new nanny, one that respects, you, your house, and preferably has a HIGHER maturity level than the kids she's caring for.

That's called theft and blackmail. You should have called the cops immediately and fired her. In fact, you should still do that.

You can also call the cops on her for theft

It would be well above average pay in fields that don't require a degree or license of some kind.

15/hr is more than my mom makes, and she's been teaching elementary school for 2 decades.

15/hr is more then twice the federal minimum wage which is 7.25/hr. Studies say that if we raised minimum wage like we should have with inflation it would be about 20/hr. Currently 15/hr is about how much it takes to stay above the poverty line
