Today, my mom finally told me the truth about ice cream trucks. She used to say that when the music would play, they were out of ice cream. FML

I would think that even as a kid, most people would see through that. The music is meant to attract attention; why would they want you to know they were there if they couldn't serve you?

Ha! It's so easy to judge the mother, but I also have to wonder if you'd bug her even after she said no and she ended up having to create a lie to get you off her back. I know I sure bugged my parents for treats as a kid sometimes, I had a pretty big sweet tooth. However, I also have to wonder how in the world you never caught on.
