Today, my girlfriend is mad at me for not going to watch her sister's swim meet. I'm with my mother in the hospital. She has discovered today that she has stage 4 breast cancer that is likely in her lymph nodes, as she is pregnant with what could've been my new baby twin sisters. FML

As someone who has lost a mom to breast cancer I wish you and your mom the best of luck. As for the girlfriend don't even respond to her spend as much time as you can with your mom.

I'm so sorry OP. I lost my grandma (my only grandparent) to cancer last year after only just finding out about it on my birthday. We lost her exactly one month later. Then in December my mother found out she has stage 3 breast cancer. My thoughts are with you. Keep strong. Your mother is going to need it. She will need you there for her.

The treatment for breast cancer is incompatible with pregnancy and I think he was saying his mother is still in the very early stages. They most likely not be able to wait until they could survive on their own (at least 24 weeks) due to the aggressive nature of most breast cancers.

my mom had stage 4 breast cancer before she passed away. My advice is to spend time with her as much as you can. you will regret it if you don't...
