Today, I was turned down for a promotion, that I believed I was an excellent candidate for, on the grounds that the successful person had more experience. The same person who started at the job some two months after I did. FML.

Just because you were there two months before the other person does not mean you have more experience. The other person may have prior experience at the job but with another company. Even if they don't, two months is not a massive edge over the other person. Grats to them.

Today, my auto-repairman told me my heavy mass of keys was bad for the ignition switch and suggested I separate my house and car keys. I began to carry my car keys and lock the house keys in my glovebox. My car was stolen. I now have car keys but no car and a house with no house key. FML

Today, when I got out of the shower, my mother, my boyfriend, and 3 of my friends confronted me for an intervention. My problem? They think I'm a workaholic. What they don't know is that I lost my job 4 weeks ago. I stay up all night filling out job applications. FML

Today, after I had an excellent one night stand with a guy yesterday, I saw him at work. He was a client my boss was trying to talk into a deal. The guy recognised me and accused my boss of sending me to seduce him into signing the contract. The deal fell apart and my boss is livid with me. FML
