Today I was bidding on a nice skirt on ebay for my wife and I did typo of 85089$ instead of 85.89$. Since it happened less than 5 minutes before deadline, I couldn't correct my mistake. It watched the price goes up to 500$ powerless... FML

You can contact the seller and explain the mistake. They should be able to offer it to the next bidder. If this was for a skirt it could be that the bidder was running the price up. If that is not the case then the next lowest bidder should be able to get it.

Today, I was walking to the pet store to buy a month's worth of fish food for my fish so I wouldn't have to come back for a while. For fish food it was expensive. It was also surprisingly heavy and I had to carry it back to my house. When I got home, I saw my fish floating at the top of its bowl. FML
