Today, I got mad at my parents and threatened to run away. Things got so bad that I packed a bag and left, planning to hide in my front yard to teach them a lesson. It's been two hours, and I'm still standing behind a bush in front of my house while they make no effort to look for me. FML

Today, I finally decided to stand up for myself and quit my crappy job working for my abusive father. I gave him a few insults too, to which he reacted by calling the police and claiming I'd threatened to murder him. I spent three hours in jail before they finally let me go. FML

Today, I moved out of my parents' house and started living alone. All of a sudden, my parents started requiring me to text or call them every 5 minutes to tell them where I am and what I'm doing, from 6am to 12am every day. If I don't, they will go looking for me, and force me to move back in with them. FML

Today, I decided to tan naked in a secluded part of my yard, so I wouldn't get tan lines. I even felt adventurous enough to leave my bikini and towel inside. This idea backfired however when my mom stopped home from work, assumed I wasn't home, and locked all the doors before she left again. FML

It has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not your parents are lazy. It has everything to do with...this is the real world, and your parents aren't gonna give in to any temper tantrums or attention seeking actions. That's all running away is. They still called the cops which means they give a rats ass about you, so think twice before insulting them because they didn't do what YOU expected them to. They still did *something* to ensure that YOUR dumb runaway ass came home.

Haha! Yes!! I remember when I did the exact same thing once, I was five. Seriously. I stormed off to my room and packed a bag then went out to the front yard and hid. I was five and they left me there for almost an hour (watching from a window).
