Content almost refused by staff

Today, I found out that I'm unable to get my dream job because I'm not a U.S. Citizen. I studied four years for it. FML.

im sorry to hear! i know its hard to become a US citizen. a friend had to go through it. took over 8 years to get us citizenship. i didnt have to because i was born here in the states

I would be happy to get it but it's not that easy. I have to get married, get advanced parole, leave the country, enter the country legally, file for citizenship, and wait. This relies on someone willing to be with me all that time through the process and marriage. I have to hope the government grants me Advanced Parole to begin with. It's not an easy process. I've been trying.

OP here. I've heard that is has taken people that long. I don't understand why they don't make it simpler and easier.

I am sorry, you have worked hard for your dream job, and cannot achieve your ultimate goal. However, it seems like you would have researched or learned something of this nature, especially since you are not a US Citizen.
