Today, I went to my Homecoming dance. I had a great time until some fat girl kept trying to dance with my date, even though he politely asked her to stop. I decided to intervene. I found myself pinned to the floor by a fat girl crushing on my date, who was cheering her on as she tackled me. FML

Wow, that other girl is a concieted bitch. It's your special night and she just walks over with her peanut butter jar and steals your date? Doesn't she stop to think "Hmm...maybe, it's her night to and...this guy is her boyfriend.." Just because she can't get any guys cause she probably has the worst personality ever, doesn't mean she can just randomly hook up with guys at the PROM. I read this as a normal girl just trying to dance and have a good time at the prom then the popular slutty fat girl walks over and steals your boyfriend even when he asks her to stop. Maybe my high school was just different, but we all danced with everyone. That was the whole point, for everyone to hang out and have a good time. Now, if she shows up at your wedding and does the same, by all means throw down with her. And she definitely had no right to start a fight over it - like I said, the point is to have a good time. I don't see why you were uncomfortable with her dancing with him, but if you were, she should've gotten over it and found someone else.

She was obviously uncomfortable with her dancing with him because her date didn't want to and tried to get out of it but was unable to. Kudos to OP for defending her date and his right to choose. I woulda thought anyone would do the same, but considering your post, I suppose not. If she'd tried to rape him, would you have just stood around as well? No means no, be it a dance or worse.

YDI for not punching her. Unless you're super-girly. But if I was you, I would have politely asked her to stop, and then if she pinned me down, I would have punched her, or hit her in some form of way. I'm not scared, like you. If you did something like that, he'd be cheering you on.
