I'm pretty sure you have a few seconds to get out of the video/app on any device. The video has to load. You could have easily hit the home button. I always make sure my volumes are down when I'm in public.

Always keep volume down low OP! I haven't had a time where my phone embarrassed me (unless you count being a clutz and dropping it). But my Mom did... We were in the post office doing some business and her ringtone goes off: I like big butts and I cannot lie! We had a few looks, most offended and some just confused. It was horrifying but awesome at the same time. Also, I need to see this video.
